Selena has been working with YCC for over 2 years since completing an externship through the National Geographic Society and The Nature Conservancy. Selena is currently a Graduate student at Wayne State University in Michigan, working towards a masters degree in environmental engineering. She works for a small engineering firm designing green infrastructure and storm water for cities. Selena actively volunteers in her community, in the past she has cleaned up roadsides from trash and implemented community garbage cans.
